C.J. is pretty much my favorite thing about The West Wing. She’s brilliantly intelligent, hilarious, self-assured, and competent. She has her vulnerabilities, and she makes mistakes, but she’s so amazingly relatable and real. She’s one of the fullest characters on the entire show — she has her job, but she also has her family and her occasional boyfriends, and she has so many clear firmly-held beliefs. C.J. Cregg, simply put, is magnificent.
